A few people have contacted me to ask why they keep getting logged out when using a mobile device (cell phone or tablet) to access and use SingersVIP. The answer is actually quite simple. The SingersVIP system automatically records your IP address on each connection to the system. If it sees it has changed it when you open the website, will automatically log you out of your account for your protection.
The reason for this because of what's called "Session Hijacking", Essentially, malicious software, or apps that may want to steal your account information will try to make a request with your information from an IP address other than your own, by submitting requests under your account. If the system detects additional logins to your account from wildly different IP addresses, it will choose to protect your account by disconnecting all logged in devices until you login again.
Unfortunately, because almost all cell phones use dynamic IP addresses (randomly assigned), if your IP address changes while you are logged in, the system will automatically log you out. Commonly, this will happen if you are logged in on your mobile providers network, and then connect to a Wi-Fi network and try to access our website again. This is completely normal, as your IP Address has changed since you logged in.

If you had a SingersVIP account prior to the transition to our new website, you will need to recreate your account and favorites. The API or back end that controls our SingersVIP feature had to be completely recreated in order to work seemlessly with Android, iOS and Desktop users. Therefore, we were unable to bring users over, as most data would not properly match up with any account on our new system due to different encryption levels and different field mappings. We apologize for any problems this may cause you and hope you enjoy the new features we've added to SingersVIP.
